GRD-IMT College is known for conducting regular classes for all Engineering students by in-house and external training teams on various skill sets. These training sessions start from the 2nd year of the curriculum and get more intensive as the student progresses to the 4th year.
An integral part of all our programs is the Specialized Soft-skills and Aptitude Training by corporate trainers (120 hours spread over eight semesters) further helps polish the skills learnt by our students.
Mock aptitude tests are conducted to check the candidate’s problem-solving capability and to test how efficiently a student can respond to a task or a situation. The soft skill training comprises of reading, writing, and listening and speaking skills.
These efforts help students network with industry professionals and discover invaluable work experience opportunities. In addition team spirit, leadership quality, time management and decision making skills are also covered.
Students are getting trained on certain personality traits like confidence, communicating with the team, participation, ability to present one’s views in a clear and concise manner, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, etc. In the Mock GD session, there are Minimum 5 and Maximum 10 candidates and the subject of discussion is generally related to Current Affairs, hypothetical situations, problematic situations, etc.
Intensive training on technical and core knowledge of all the streams is provided through special classes held in the GRD IMT campus. The subjects are chosen from all the previous semesters and the nature of the training is like a refresher course.
Exclusive training on Communication, attitude, confidence, flexibility, enthusiasm, behavior skills, etc is provided on the campus. It is advised that candidates should be confident but not overconfident in this round of training. The candidate should be honest and polite in answering the questions. Mock Interviews are conducted on a daily basis and assessing the individual talent of students is a continuous process.
