The School of Agriculture at GRT-IMT Dehradun organized an educational visit to the Apiculture Centre at Ranipokhri, Uttarakhand, providing students with practical exposure to modern beekeeping and honey production practices. The visit was conducted with the objective of helping students understand the scientific, agricultural, and commercial importance of apiculture in sustainable farming and rural development.

During the visit, students interacted with experts and observed various aspects of beekeeping, including hive management, honey extraction techniques, bee colony maintenance, and the role of pollination in improving agricultural productivity. The hands-on learning experience enabled students to connect classroom concepts with real-world agricultural applications and understand the growing significance of apiculture in the agri-based economy.

Industry professionals and field experts also guided students about the importance of bee conservation, organic farming support systems, and entrepreneurial opportunities in apiculture.
