At School of Pharmacy and Research, GRD Uttarakhand University, we believe that pharmacy education extends far beyond the classroom. It is a discipline where scientific knowledge meets healthcare, innovation meets human well-being, and professional excellence meets responsibility.

A distinguished academic leader

Dr. Vinod Rana is a pharmaceutical academic and researcher with more than 19+ years of experience in teaching, research and academic administration, with professional exposure spanning academic teaching, research, administration, student counselling, placement and training. He holds a Ph.D. from CT University, Punjab, an M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from M.M. University, Mullana, and a B.Pharm from H.N.B. Garhwal University.

His area of specialisation is Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, with research interests extending into natural products, phytopharmacology, pharmaceutical formulation and advanced drug-delivery systems. His doctoral research focused on the formulation development of berberine-loaded chitosancoated alginate nanoparticles for the treatment of skin psoriasis, alongside work on topical berberine nanogel formulation and dermal toxicity assessment.
